I am a Northwest Arkansas native and live in Fayetteville with my husband of 28 years, we have three adult daughters and four pets, two dogs and two cats. I have taught High School Family Consumer Science for 27 years, where I have taught my students many different life skills. My favorite subjects to teach are cooking, sewing, and child development. Much of my time during my youth was spent with my mother and grandmothers who would sew and craft. Sewing has been passed down in my family for generations, and continues to be as I have taught my daughters to sew as well. As my own children have gotten older, more of my time has been spent on my own hobbies. Such as sewing, hand embroidering, and the occasional watercolor class. While my work in the past was for fun, enjoyment, or gifts; I find that I am at a point in life where I can open my own business and start selling my work.
